  • EFM MOVES to Monday Nights!
EFM at SMM will begin meeting on Monday nights from 6-8 PM, beginning August 25. We still need a couple more new members to complete our group, so please consider joining us.
EFM, which stands for Education for Ministry, is a four year curriculum offered through the University of the South. It includes study of the old and new testament, church history and modern theology. This is not a typical Bible study, but instead is a study of scripture and its historical and literary contexts, the lengthy “story” of the Christian church and the integration of the personal experiences and spiritual journeys of EFM participants into that story. We meet in weekly seminars that include worship, discussion of weekly readings and theological reflection.
The cost of the program is $340 and students commit to one year of study at a time. If you are interested in joining EFM at SMM please contact Janet Poley (303-530-9504; jrpoley@comcast.net) or Kathy Madsen (303-499-7409; kathymadsen@aol.com).
