Baptism

- For parents and godparents of children being baptized....... baptismal training is two hours and usually occurs during the week prior to the baptism.
- For adults...... the baptismal training is participation in the Faith Matters class for 10 weeks which starts each fall.
Birthdays and Anniversaries
At each service all those celebrating a birthday or anniversary before, after, or on that date, are invited to come forward to the altar during the service for a blessing.
- The tradition is to place a small offering of coins into a special collection box at that time. The offering usually corresponds to the number of years you are celebrating (for example, six pennies for six years; a quarter for twenty-five years; or whatever you can find in your pocket!).
- The congregation celebrates with you by singing Happy Birthday or Anniversary.
