 Church Seasons
Summer, fall, winter, spring. Like the seasons in nature, the church enjoys several seasons throughout the year. The church year begins with Advent, time to prepare for the coming of Christ (Christmas). Epiphany blends into Lent, 40 days to reflect on the redemptive work of Christ. Easter celebrates Christ's victory over death. The church celebrates its own birthday at the season of Pentecost after which we begin again with Advent.
