Deacon: The Rev. Rhoads Hollowell
I have been a Deacon at St. Mary Magdalene since November 1998 when I finished Colorado's Diaconal Formation Process and was ordained at St. John's Cathedral in Denver. A cradle Episcopalian, I grew up in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and then went to Princeton University where I graduated with a degree in electrical engineering and computer science. Moving to Boulder in 1983, I attended St. John's Episcopal Church in Boulder and sang in the choir. My wife, Kim, and I were married in July 1984 in Maine and I brought her to St. John's. In August of 1984, St. John's sent us to St. Mary Magdalene to assist in growing that parish (St. Mary's started as a church planted by St. John's). We said good-bye to Boulder early in 1993 and moved to California for a job with Apple Computers. In the summer of 1994 we moved back to Colorado and back to St. Mary's; I continue to work for Apple Computer. In addition to being a Deacon at St. Mary's, I am a volunteer chaplain at Avista Hospital in Louisville. We have two children, Jamie who's attending Haverford College in Philadelphia and Corey who attends Niwot High School .

Deacon:The Rev. Maureen Beaty
I am honored to serve the community at St. Mary Magdalene as one of the newest clergy in the Diocese. I was ordained on November 17, 2007 after spending two and a half years in a diocesan program which included both academic preparation and spiritual formation. During this time, I also served as a chaplain at Longmont and Boulder hospitals, completed a 6 month field education assignment at St. John's Episcopal Church in Boulder, have become involved in HOPE (a Longmont street outreach program), and have been assigned by the Bishop to work on the Frederick Church plant. I am eager to explore the needs of the Tri-Town community as part of the Deacon's quest to "bring the world to the Church, and the Church to the world."
I am a Denver native and a graduate of Colorado State University's chemical engineering program. I have worked primarily in high tech in R&D and Quality, both as an individual contributor and as a manager.
We are long-time members of St. Mary Magdalene. Mike and I have been blissfully married since 1985 and are really enjoying our wonderful teenage boys, Matt and Mark. We enjoy snow skiing; watersports; and hiking with our border collie Molly.
