Our approach to youth ministry is to create an atmosphere and culture that encourages and teaches the youth to minister to each other. We accomplish this by meeting weekly and balancing fellowship, worship, discipleship, evangelism and service.

• Fellowship happens on Sunday nights at our regular youth group meetings. Some of the activities have included organized games, deliberate conversations, crafts, movies, and of course food.
  
• Worship happens on Sunday mornings when the youth attend the regular church services with their families. The youth are active participants of our mission statement which is “A Community Celebrating and Sharing God’s Love”. We also plan and execute a youth service for the congregation on Mother’s Day. The youth do the sermon, music, readings, prayers, and in the process learn the meaning behind all that takes place during a service.
  
• Discipleship occurs during regular youth group meetings. One third of our time together is spent on a lesson. This is usually presented by Lyle SmithGraybeal. Our current study is on what it means to be a disciple of Christ.
  
• Evangelism occurs when the students bring friends to our activities. Guests are always welcome.
  
• Service is a large focus of our group. The students really have a passion in this area. We do workdays for the church, adopt-a-road, Lenten Soup Suppers with projects for outreach, and we culminate the year with a mission trip to Juarez Mexico to build houses. Over the past 4 years we have built 10 houses for 10 families.

We welcome all students in 6th - 12th grades. The more they attend, the more they learn to be Christ
to each other.
Our meeting times are regularly 4pm - 5:30pm for 6th and 7th graders and 5pm - 6:30pm for

8th - 12th graders. Please call the church to make sure we are meeting if it is your first time.
