 Fellowship Opportunities
Fellowship ~
Getting together, enjoying each other, having fun and growing.

It is often difficult to separate social opportunities from ministry and faith formation activities at SMM as they often overlap. Almost any activity begins and ends with a healthy dose of visiting with old-timers and meeting newcomers. Some activities are designed specifically to help us get to know one another better and to provide an atmosphere of relaxed interaction. Opportunities available are listed below; please contact the Parish Office, 303-530-1421 or office@stmarymagdalene.org for current times and contact person.

Coffee Hour
Linger after the Sunday service(s) for coffee (a fair trade decaf coffee), tea, juice, edible treats and great conversation.

Music Night
This event occurs approximately every other month for an evening of musical fellowship. It is held in various homes and is open to all parishioners – children, teens and adults. Participants bring a drink and snack to share.

Dinner Groups
Dinner groups are a great way to get to know Parish members outside of Sunday morning services. In the fall and spring, those who want to participate sign up and are assigned to small groups that meet monthly for the season. There are groups for adults only or adults plus children. Each family, couple or individual agrees to host a dinner in their home for one of the months. These groups offer good food, laughs, encouragement and hope and build community within SMM. Food can be as simple as take-out, or as fancy as you like;  the primary focus is on fun and fellowship.

Men's Group
Men meet monthly for a time of food and fun. An excellent way to meet and enjoy the SMM men.

Book Club
A book of interest is announced monthly in the Parish bulletin and newsletter with a location and time designated for discussion of the book. All are welcome.

Golf Tournament
This annual event is held with St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Longmont. Teams “compete” for the famed Lavabo Cup. Golfers and non-golfers alike enjoy a picnic supper afterwards.

Lenten Soup Suppers
These suppers take place on Wednesday evenings during Lent. The time begins with evening prayer followed by a soup supper (participants bring bread, soup, salad or wine) and concludes with a program. Programs have included outreach projects, spiritual formation activities and activities for children and youth.

Silent Auction
This annual fall fundraising event, which began in 1997, includes food, beverages and an evening of bidding on a variety of fun events and items. The proceeds go toward the support of outreach to the community. Child care is provided.  Read More
